A new service will help to take a closer look at your neighbours
A new social network Fatdoor has been released in testing mode.
Service Fatdoor predictably will help Internet users to get acquainted and adjust attitudes with their neighbours. On a site of new service the information from telephone directories is combined with geographical cards of service Microsoft Virtual Earth. Inhabitants of each house are presented on a card in the form of special labels. Thus as informs VentureBeat, users of service can edit the information in structures of the neighbours. Besides participants of community can leave comments and on other objects designated on a card, for example, about the companies working in this or that area, entertaining institutions and so forth
Now access to social network Fatdoor is given only under invitations. Company Fatdoor has already got financial support at a rate of five and a half of millions US dollars from Norwest Venture Partners and KeyNote Ventures. It is supposed, that access to Fatdoor all interested person will be opened in Spring of next year.
By the way recently on the Internet there was other socially-focused service in which users can leave the information on the neighbours. On site RottenNeighbor visitors on conditions of anonymity can complain of people living nearby, whose behaviour does not keep within the standard frameworks. Places of residing of “disgusting” neighbours then are displayed on card Google Maps. It is supposed, that service RottenNeighbor will help those people who are going to buy the house or to move from one area to another.
